About Michelle

Education
With a M. Ed in Workplace Learning and Change (U of T) and degrees in business and psychology, Michelle understands business from the strategic to tactical and the behaviors required from leaders to be successful.
Expertise
Michelle has professional designations in HR (CHRL); Training (CTDP), Coaching (PCC)(ACTC) (CTPC)(TCQA)(EIA) and Organization Development (CSODP). She is deeply educated and skilled in the areas of leadership, change, team coaching, culture and organization development. She has augmented her learning with specific education in organization relationships and systems coaching; facilitating & managing complex systems change; polarity management and appreciative inquiry. Over the years, Michelle has been involved in various board positions with I4PL (CSTD), HRPA, and is currently on the joint task force thought leadership committee between ICF/ACMP.
Experience
Prior to starting her consulting & coaching practice, Michelle was responsible for Leadership Development, enterprise wide for TELUS mobility across Canada. She also held senior positions within Pharmaceutical and Financial Services. As a result, she has direct experience and knowledge of the challenges facing leaders and can support them in their issues and opportunities. Having worked with hundreds of leaders, she is able to offer situational examples and tools and strategies based on her client experiences. Michelle’s leadership and coaching style is direct, focused and pragmatic and is ideally suited for work with results-focused organizational leaders.
Michelle is involved in the growth and development of the OD profession as a Program Director and instructor with the Masters Certificate in Organization Development and Change through Schulich Executive education at York University. She is also a senior faculty member with Team Coaching International and Systemic Team Coaching through the Global Training & Coaches Institute (GTCI).
Thought Leader
Michelle continues to share her knowledge and wisdom by speaking at various conferences and events including Coaching.Com (WBECS); ICF, EMCC, ODN, HRPA, I4PL (CSTD), IODA, ISODC. Michelle is also a contributor to the “Team Coaching Casebook” a global and first publication with case studies from 23 leading team coaching practitioners. She has also published articles for various publications including Canada HR Reporter; Toronto Star, HRPA Magazine; CHOICE Coaching magazine; Slack; Coach at Work; Municipal World and Your Workplace magazines. She has been interviewed by Global News, Team Coaching Zone; Beyond the Page podcast. She is also a recipient of the ICF (International Coaching Federation) Prism Award for outstanding achievement in leadership and team coaching and a finalist for the Global Change Leader Award.
