Doug Miron
Doug’s areas of expertise include Executive Coaching, Organization Development, Innovation, Leadership Strategy, Talent Management, and Change Leadership.
Doug is a trusted advisor to senior leaders with more than 500 hours of coaching experience as a professional accredited coach with the International Coaching Federation. His coaching and organization development work have directly contributed to the attainment of numerous national and regional awards of excellence including Canada’s Top Employers for Young People and Canada’s Most Admired Corporate Cultures. Doug values diversity – he built and led a volunteer program of over 1000 individuals who spoke more than 75 different languages and ranged in age from 16 to 80+.
As a professional facilitator, Doug has delivered international and national symposiums, keynotes and workshops to thousands of individuals. He coaches, mentors and teaches professionals from across Canada who works in business, government, healthcare, education and non-profit organizations.
Experience
Doug continually leverages knowledge gained from his master’s degree in Leadership and Training to build leadership capacity in others and facilitate positive change. He co-led the development of a Centre of Leadership in Innovation that increased the Culture of Innovation Employee Engagement Survey results for leaders by 12% and he strategically coached leaders on the implementation of new technologies and solutions.
Doug is a faculty member/practicum lead in the Master's Certificate in Organization Development at the Schulich School of Business Executive Education Centre and has been honoured with repeat requests to speak at the IRC Talent Management Program at Queen’s University and the Master's Certificate in Innovation Leadership Program at Schulich.
Doug has built effective relationships as a volunteer with diverse professional associations, community groups and athletic associations at local, provincial and international levels. He has received awards for his work including recognition from the Professional Association of Volunteer Leaders – Ontario for his contributions locally and internationally.
